Homeward Trails Animal Rescue Volunteering and Education

A Redwood City, California resident, William E. Schuiling graduated from Wayne State University, where he obtained a master of business administration. William Schuiling currently serves as the owner of the Brown Automotive Group, LTD. In his free time, he engages in philanthropic activities and donated over $10,000 to the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization that aims to increase and improve the adoption rates of pets throughout the US. The organization attempts to save pets that stay in low-income animal shelters where they are treated badly and have no conditions or resources to live well. To improve the adoption rates, the organization also provides educational resources and training sessions to raise awareness.

Volunteers that want to help Homeward Trails Animal Rescue’s cause can participate in online training sessions and get familiar with practices and services. After finishing the training, they can volunteer at adoption centers as counselors. Volunteers only need to stay for three hours at the adoption centers and facilitate the processes and documents as well as interact with people and help find the best pet for them.
